I’m Baaaaaack!
I stopped blogging about politics a bout a year ago. I just didn’t know what to say and honestly, few people we’re reading what I did write. Well, things have not gotten better. In fact, things are worse. I don’t care what party you belong too or who you voted for, you can’t honestly say things are better off than they were two years ago.
Real unemployment is up, the debt is still climbing and few politicians in either party seem ready to make the hard choices that need to be made. We can argue all day about what to do, but can anyone really say that things are fine the way they are? I can’t.
The government is too big, to intrusive and spends too much money, period! We can argue all day over Social Security, Medicare and defense spending, but if we don’t change our ways, it won’t matter. Those things won’t matter. We will be broke and won’t be able to afford any of it.
I plan to not just point out problems, but suggest solutions. Some solutions may be mine, others may be common sense ideas shared by many and yet others will be innovative solutions of others I chose to share. I will also share my opinions on what this country is all about. Opinions shared by many Americans and by those that founded this country.
I hope I can reach people and they in turn will share my words with others. It is in this way that things will be set right. I plan to use my writing to do my part. I hope my words inspire others to do what they can. I believe things can be changed and we can take out country back.
Now, I plan to post weekly. I won’t always, but I will try. I encourage you to subscribe or add this to your RSS feeds. Share my posts on Facebook or e-mail them to your friends. Ask me to trade links. I will happily list your blog, even if you disagree with me, if you list mine.
Anyway, I’m back and I plan to stay around. Thanks for reading!
Feds to Monitor Obesity?
You read that right. The Federal Government is going to begin monitoring your weight. Read it here. Anyone find this disturbing besides me? Anyone who knows me knows I’m fat, but that’s not my problem with this. There are plenty of reasons that this should scare the bejesus out of everyone, even fit people.
First, what they hell are they gonna do with your, “…body mass index, or BMI, height and weight?” I’m sure our benevolent government just wants to know. They would never do anything with it, like say deny you health care due to your unhealthy state. Right? Read more…
Happy Independence Day
Happy #234 U.S.A!! May you have many more. I am going to celebrate by eating things that the government says are bad for me, smoke cigars the government doesn’t want me to, drink alcohol even though the government says it might cause cancer or impair my ability to operate machinery and maybe even spew some diesel fumes into the air driving around for no good reason because they say it might ruin the planet. I think this says it all:
Pelosi Isn’t Stupid, But She Thinks You Are
Nancy Pelosi stated recently that giving people unemployment checks “…creates jobs faster than almost any other initiative you can name.” What?? She claims that unemployment checks CREATE jobs! No really, she said that. Read it here.
Either Pelosi is the dumbest person on the planet or she is an arrogant, lying socialist. I’m choose the latter. The sheer stupidity of the statement can only mean she thinks you are dumb enough to believe it. Why not just call the sun the moon and claim the sky is pink. Read more…
Harry Reid: No One Can Do More?
You gotta give Harry Reid credit. While all of his colleagues in the Democratic party are rushing to the center and trying to distance themselves from the radical policies of the Obama administration, Reid is running on his record. His assertion is that “No One Can Do More”. In other words, he is so powerful only he can bring the jobs and money to Nevada. A tough sell in a state that is suffering from 13.7% unemployment.
Seriously, is this guy stupid or just trying to be cagey? Most Nevadans aren’t any happier with Harry’s liberal agenda than the rest of America. This guy is killing jobs, not creating them. Between Obamacare, cap and trade, and the out of control spending, we’ll all be paying for Reid’s “leadership” for decades, if not centuries. If this guy really represented Nevada, he’d have stood up to Obama and the left on all these issues. Then again, when did a liberal ever consider the People’s opinion superior to their own?
Anyway, here are a couple of videos rebutting Reid’s ridiculous campaign ads. I am neither fair, nor balanced, so Reid’s ads get no airing on this blog. The first is from American Crossroads, the second from the National Republican Senatorial Committee. Both are spot on. Enjoy!
